Le département R&D de CEERAM a développé une méthode de génotypage de différentes bactéries par MLVA. A l’instar des techniques utilisées par la médecine légale pour l’élaboration d’empreintes génétiques humaines, cette méthode d'analyse s’appuie sur l’étude concomitante du polymorphisme de plusieurs VNTRs, séquences répétées en tandem caractérisée par une variabilité de répétition intra-espèce.
La plate-forme de génotypage bactérien dont dispose CEERAM vous permettra de typer systématiquement tous les isolats collectés afin que des décisions puissent être rapidement prises lors de cas épidémiques, ou que certaines mesures préventives soient engagées.
Ce cheminot avait contracté la légionellose diffusée par une tour aéroréfrigérante de la gare d'Austerlitz à Paris, avant de décéder fin août 2006. Condamnée pour "homicide involontaire", la SNCF devra payer 50.000 euros d'amende.

It means 36 people have now been struck down by the bug which has already caused the death of one man, with a further 44 in Edinburgh waiting for test results confirming whether they are also infected with the waterborne virus.
Of the 80 confirmed and suspected cases, 15 are in intensive care and 27 are in general wards. A further 16 cases are being treated in the community and a number of people have already been discharged from hospital.

They are robust microbes that survive for long periods, invisibly, on the surfaces of everyday objects. While the chances of catching the norovirus from a reusable bag is very slight be aware that a 2010 study did find huge numbers of pathogenic bacteria in and on reusable grocery bags. Most notably twelve percent of them were found to harbor e-coli.
